He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Butman and Eloise Butman (Edgecomb); his siblings, Bruce and Phyliss Oye; and his brother-in-law Lyle Oye.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Johannsen of Pipestone; his children, Sherri Johnson (Glenn) of Pipestone and Justin Butman (Ashley) of Pipestone; and his grandchildren, Wesly (Kayla), Dawson, Braeden, Bergan and Barrett.
