She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Wrege and Ida Wrege (Harkema); her husband Alvin Klaas Smidt of Edgerton, Minnesota.; her siblings, Albert, Robert, Marvin Wrege, Janet Matson and Barbara Pape; her granddaughter Erica Bendt; and her son-in-law Jerry Bendt.
She is survived by: her children, Lucinda Krattenmaker (John) of Glenwood, Vicki Bendt of Las Vegas, Rodger Smidt (Gloria) of Pipestone and Brenda Krech (Dale) of Prescott, Wisconsin; her brother Gene Wrege of Sioux Falls; her brother-in-law Kenneth Pape of Pipestone; and her grandchildren, John Ryan Krattenmaker, Breanne Gifford (Krattenmaker), Samantha VonEye (Bendt), Jessica Elliott (Bendt), Jeremy, Bradley, Brian Smidt, Ellie Griffith (Krech) and Jake Krech. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
