He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Petersen and Irene Petersen (Filter); and his brother Darrell Petersen. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Rustman of Pipestone; his children, Brad Rustman (Lisa) of Alexandria, Jason Rustman (Nikki) of Waynesville, Becky Van Dyke (Jake) of Elkton and Ashley Petersen (Justin Simpson) of Brookings; his grandchildren, Bryce, Reid of Eve, AJ, Jazelle and Adonis; and his siblings, Kathy Driessen (Gary) of Canby and Phil Maeyaert (Larry) of Tracy, Minnesota. He is also survived by many other family members and close friends.
