She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Bastian and Anna Vander Poel (Offringa); her former husband Donald Zylstra; her husband Hubert Slegers; and her grandson Darrick Moore.
She is survived by: her brother Jellas; her children, Gerrit Slegers (Tammara) of Lake Benton, Karen Moore (Danny) of Clarksville, Hubert Slegers (Angela) of Hilmar and Ardyth Little of Turlock, California; her grandchildren, Gerrit III, Shaun, Nathan Slegers, Jason Moore, Janet Davenport, Jessi Daniels and Amy Mancebo; her great grandchildren, Gerritt IV, Theodore, Natalie Slegers, Kinsley Slegers, Alysa Polley, Paige Moore, Jaxon, Colton Daniels, Leo, Kassidy, Logan Mancebo, Carter and Cooper Slegers; and also Roger VanderPoel (Ruth) of Minneapolis, Minnesota..
