He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gearey and Isabel Gearey; his nephew Patrick; and his great-nephew Devin. He is survived by: his daughter Kelly; his siblings, Janice Kieffer (Randy), Robert Gearey (Judy), Eileen Fisher (David), Stephen Gearey (Barb) and Paul Gearey (Tammy); his grandchildren, Dylan, Chance, Alyssa and Noah; and his great grandchildren, Travis, Dayton, Kaleb and Braylee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
