It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Hardy (Pine River, Minnesota), who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Hardy of Fifty Lakes; his adoptive father Delmer Longerbone; and his siblings, Thomas Longerbone and Sandra Lee DuPay. He is survived by: his children, Rose Marie Kroeger, Terra Mae Hardy, Peggy Sue Clay (David), Jennifer Elaine Thurston (Terry) and Daniel James Hardy (Nadia); and his siblings, Michael Longerbone (Karen) and Peggy Lake (James). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Brenny-Kline Funeral Home (3042 MN-371, Pine River, MN 56474). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
