He was predeceased by: his mother Royce Lovering (McCall); his sisters, Mary (Olson) and Kathy (Sanderson); and his niece Sherri. He is survived by: his wife Christie Mertz; his children, Zach Lovering (Marnee) of Eden Prairie, MN and Becky Broom (Zach) of Pequot Lakes, MN; and his grandchildren, Emily, Lewis, Ian, Mitchell and Nora.

“I am sad to hear Dave is gone. I pray the Lord will give your family strength. I am glad to have known Dave and served the Lord along side of him over the years at the Tabernacle. He was a very kind man. I enjoyed his humor. The last time I saw him was at the parking lot at the Supe Value a few months ago. He seemed happy and doing pretty good.
