He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hawley and Beata Hawley (Melom); his wife Ardith L. Vander Plas (Ardy); his sister Joyce Snyder; and his son-in-law Todd Nielsen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judith Walkes (Roger), Janette Dohlman (Rick), Elaine Sanford (Duane), Ruthie Brown (Bill) and Elizabeth Blomquist (Timothy); his grandchildren, Melaney Olsen (Mark), Rachel Walkes, Brent Dohlman (Ashley), Brandon Dohlman (Laura), Brian Dohlman (Amanda), Amanda Hickman (Cyrus), Laura Schmidt (Brad), Cole Nielsen (Amy), Jade Gonzales (Guy), Garrit Wood (Rachel), Alex Blomquist (Janae), Keri Hall (Brandon) and Kayla Sneller (Austin); and his siblings, Glenn Hawley of Midland, TX and Janice Heusinkveld of Rochester. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
