He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gay and Mildred Gay; his siblings, Robert Gay Jr. and Barbara Gay; and his sisters-in-law, Sandy Gay and Donna Gay.
He is survived by: his children, Chad Gay (Jessie) of Rush City, MN, Shane Gay (Amber) of Hinckley, MN, Christine Baum (Jerry) of Hastings, MN, Deborah Zentz (Mike) of Buffalo, MN and Jessica Nichols (Robert) of Pine City, MN; and his brother William Gay. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
