He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mabel "Mickey"; his children, Richard (Sally), Dennis (Norma), Patrick, Kim Guzman (John), Timothy (Nancy) and Kevin Metty; his siblings, Larry Flaherty and Margaret "Peggy" Duffy; and his sister-in-law Mary Flaherty. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren.
