He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvan Opheim and Grace Opheim (Kirkwold); and his wife Marlys Opheim. He is survived by: his grandsons, Jeff and Jason; his children, Cathy Thulien (Rick) of Arnolds Park, Jeff Opheim (Julie) of Apple Valley and Jason Opheim (Ana Patricia) of Lenexa, Kansas; his grandchildren, Brandi Opheim (Beth) of Fairmont, Marisa Opheim of Big Sky, Jacob Opheim (Taylor) of Rosemont, Mariah Opheim of Apple Valley, Jackson of Lenexa, Emily of Lenexa, Zachary Opheim of Lenexa and Gerardo Giron-Garza; his great grandchildren, Athena, Brietta, Grace and Cole; his siblings, Ann Hagen of Eden Prairie and Jim Opheim of Buffalo; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Baker (Doug) of Minneapolis and Larry Bothum (Judy) of Pine City. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
