We are sad to announce that on October 25, 2024, at the age of 70, Nelda Newsom of Pine City, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Bell and Lila Bell (Smith); her husband John Newsom, Sr.; her children, David and Christine Thompson; and her son-in-law Chris Yaritz.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Newsom of Isanti, Shirley Somora of Pine City and John Newsom, Jr. (Amanda McNeal) of Pine City; her grandchildren, Tim Yaritz (Chianan), Marissa Yaritz (Tristan Moran), Savannah Yaritz, Cody, Autumn Somora, Aiden Breault, Noah, Emma, Conner, David and Chase Newsom; her great grandchildren, Mina Moran and Carter Yaritz; and her siblings, Marlene Reiser of Rush City, Deloris Mattson (Del) of Florida, Merry Bell of Texas, Esther Cook of Oregon, Dale Bell of Brook Park, Roy Bell of St. Paul and Ron Bell of Wisconsin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Swanson Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service (665 3rd Ave SW, Pine City, MN 55063). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
