He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wimmer and Helen Wimmer (Piel); his siblings, Alice Lindahl (Bob), Robert Wimmer (Dolly), Phyllis Mullins (Don), Darlyne Purdy (Marvin), Gary Wimmer and Mike Wimmer; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanne Wimmer, Rita Wimmer and Bob Mammenga.
He is survived by: his wife Madelyn Wimmer; his children, Jeff Wimmer (Kay) of Pine City, Patrick Wimmer (Barbara) of New York, Scott Wimmer (Robin) of Rock Creek and Durand "Snork" Wimmer (Ann Reding) of Pine City; his siblings, Delores Mammenga of Maplewood, Raymond "Charlie" Wimmer (Ilene) of Pine City, Mary Mullins of Pine City, Clarence Wimmer of Pine City and Billy Wimmer of St. Cloud; and his sister-in-law Kathy Wimmer of Pine City. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
