Elizabeth Louise Hermes left this world on January 16, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hermes and Clara Hermes (Eicher); her husband Werner "Skip" Pitzen; and her brother John Hermes. She is survived by: her children, Mary Budke of Mora, Werner "Nick" Pitzen of Moundsview, Bob Pitzen (Karen Becht) of Pine City, Teresa Gaulke (Duane) of Brook Park, Susan O'Connor (John) of North Branch and Tom Pitzen (Cheryl) of Pine City; her siblings, Barbara Thibault of Spring Park and Bob Hermes (Molly) of St. Paul; and her sister-in-law Debbie Hermes of Minnetonka. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
A prayer was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (555 8th St SW, Pine City, MN 55063). Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
