He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Johnson and MayDean Johnson; his grandparents, Otto and Mathilda Schwarz; his son Brian Lind; his aunt Carol Swing; and the mother of his children Kathy Lind.
He is survived by: his wife Mona Lind of Pine City; his stepfather Harley Johnson of North Branch; his children, Michelle Smith (Randy) of Michigan, Jason Lind (Tina) of Chisago City, Shawn Lind of Minneapolis, Mark Lind (Shona Hughes) of Rock Creek, Jeff Lind of Lindstrom, Leroy Pickar (Tawnee) of Warroad and Jayne Baldwin (Craig) of Menahga; his brothers, Frank "Bunny" Lind (Arlene) and John Lind (Colette) of Pine City; his cousin Jim Swing (Becky) of Harris; and his grandchildren, Shawn, Kaylee, Braden, Trevor, Mason, Hayden, Layney, Alex, Allan, Ulric, Willow and Knox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
