He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Johnson and Grace Johnson (Robin); his sibling MaryKay Probst; and his grandson Ryan Allen. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Schrankel; his children, Joanna "Joni" Allen (Steve) and Julianna "Julie" Keske (Chris); his brother Tom Johnson; and his pet Buster.
