She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Mertala and Joy Mertala (Carpenter); and her children, Jeremy Jylka and Tracy Jylka. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Myrick (Jim), Gina Tavares (Mitch) and Tashia Birkholtz; and her siblings, Bonnie Head, Nancy Bell, Jackie Diederich and David Scheper. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
