He was predeceased by: his wife Viola; his sons, Clyde, Gary and Curtis; and his siblings, Barbara Millner, Elizabeth Becker, Conrad Stangl, Gertrude Kapsner, Jerome Stangl and Edward Stangl.
He is survived by: his children, Laurie of Bloomington, James (Patty) of Pierz and Karen of Bloomington; his daughter-in-law Marlene Stangl of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Julie Johnson (Dan), Michael Stangl, Richard Stangl (Angela), Brian Stangl, Allen Stangl, Sarah Stangl and Peter Stangl; his great grandchildren, Brady, Abby, Alex, Lydia and Cameron; his siblings, Laura Kapsner of Pierz and Marvin Stangl (Mardell) of Pierz; and his sisters-in-law, Marie Stangl and Lucille Stangl. He is also survived by his parents along with his wife, Viola, fours sons and two daughters.
