He was predeceased by: his father Walter Andrew Hayes; his son Walter Hayes (Raylanda); his great grandchild Echo Bourland; and his siblings, Eulalia Sween, Elsie Thomsen, Clarence Hayes, Lester Hayes, Loren Hayes, Agnes Young, Archie Hayes and Earl Hayes.
He is survived by: his son Doug Hayes (Nita) of Little Falls; and his granddaughter Melissa Hayes.
