With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James Virnig of Pierz, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Werner Virnig and Marie Virnig (Jinderlee); his daughter Cindy Virnig; his grandson Jacob Virnig; his brother Jerome Virnig; and his brother-in-law Joe Zegarelli.
He is survived by: his wife Loura Virnig of Pierz; his children, Carol Schirmers-Johnson (Lon) of Little Falls, Kathy Waldrop (Jim) of Emily, Tony Virnig (Lydia) of Fairbanks, AK, Lisa Przybilla (LeRoy) of Rice, Mark Virnig of Pierz, Kevin Virnig (Rose) of Pierz, Nancy Rinkel of Oak Park and Jeff Virnig of St. Cloud; his siblings, Pat Kroll (Jim) of Wahkon, Betty Zegarelli of New York and Mary Dubow of Minneapolis; and his sister-in-law Betty Erkens (Gene) of Pierz. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.
