She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schley and Bertha Schley (Lang); her husband Edward Smude; her son Dennis; her sisters, Lucille, Margaret, Eleanor, Frances and Rose; her son-in-law Herbert M. Virnig; and her sister-in-law Bernice Schley.
She is survived by: her children, Sally "Marcella" Virnig of Pierz, Donald Smude (Kathy) of St. Cloud and Lynn Smude of Rogers; her grandchildren, Kelly, Shannon, Mike, Sarah, Shelly, Margaret and Elizabeth; her great grandchildren, Lex, Levi, Lincoln, Alex, Nathan, Austin and Kaylie; and her brother John Schley of Garrison.
