He was predeceased by: his parents, Thorney Solem and Mabel Solem (Tiegen); his wife Lila M. Nagle; his sons, Joe, Scott and Gary Solem; and his siblings, Harold, Doc, Earl Solem and Marilyn Gilmore.
He is survived by: his daughter Shelley Duffy (Philip) of Witoka, MN; his grandchildren, Hollie Duffy, Matthew Duffy (Nicole), Miranda Huddleston (Kevin) and Paul Solem (Jenny); and his great grandchildren, Evan, Wyatt, Lila Duffy, Alexys Timm, Scott, Emmeline and Joe Huddleston.
