He was predeceased by: his parents, John Riestenberg and Rose Riestenberg (Mohr); his wife Babe; and his siblings, Bernard, Dolores, Jack (Odelia), Mary (Pat Tacito) and Arthur.

He is survived by: his former wife Rita 'Babe Strauch; his grandchildren, Kristi, Steven, Sarah, Kristian, Susan, James, Mary, Thomas, Peter, Jono, Katherine, Michael, Jacki, Sophie and Tyler; and his great grandchildren, Kelan, Ryland, Broden, Nytan, Jastyn, Theryn, Melissa, Lucy, Audra, Edith, Astrid, Arianna, Galen, Kali, Cora, Joey, Gigi and Robin.
