He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hofmann and Mary Hofmann (Lachowtizer); his wife Mary Hofmann; and his siblings, Bernice Ruther and James Hofmann.
He is survived by: his former wife Mary Emily Holzer of Henry's Catholic Church; his sons, James (Regina), John (Janine), Jerome (Mona Flatau), Joseph (Leah Krile), Jason (Rachel) and Jeffrey; his grandchildren, Joshua (Linnea Chruscielski), Rachel Fritz (Pete), Rebecca (Asher Dupree-Butler), Justyn (Angie), Brianna, Brittany and Beau; his great grandchild Joseph Hofmann; and his siblings, Mary Becker, Agnes Solarz and Netty Zahler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 6:15 PM to 6:30 PM at the Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service (100 Jake St, Perham, MN 56573). A prayer will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Henry's Catholic Church (234 2nd Ave SW, Perham, MN 56573). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Henry's Catholic Church Cemetery (202 Paul Lk Rd, Perham, MN 56573).
