He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Paul and Elizabeth Julia LaFond (Bubany); his wife Bernice Ruth Derke; and his sister Bernadette Adamietz. He is survived by: his son Michael LaFond (Pam); his grandchildren, Brett LaFond and Chloe LaFond; and his siblings, Frances Klar, Margaret Gjerstad, Jerome LaFond (Sherry) and David LaFond (Kathy).

With the family's apologies, due to Covid-19, there will be no luncheon.
