With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Bretz of Perham, Minnesota, who passed away on October 31, 2020 at the age of 64. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bretz and Hazel Bretz (Brunko); and his brother-in-law Al Gramentz. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Swanson (Dolence) of Perham; his children, Natasha Nodsle (Mark) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Kayla Bretz of Detroit Lakes, MN and Nicholas Bretz (Florence) of Park Rapids, MN; his stepdaughters, Tina Carlson (Geoff) of Maple Grove, MN and Trisha Mernitz (Brian) of Detroit Lakes; his grandchildren, Kyla Schatz and Dominick Bretz; and his sisters, Colleen Gramentz of Bonita Springs, FL and Bette Pitzel (Mike) of Vergas, MN. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.

For the health and safety of everyone social distancing and mask wearing are required to pay respects.
