He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol Ziegler; his children, Jesse Hartwig (Jess) of Perham and Eli Hartwig (Bridget) of Cottage Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Keanna Richards (Devyn), Lainey, Teian, Lenora and Veda Hartwig; his great grandchild Isla Richards; his siblings, Donovan Hartwig (Pam) of Fargo, ND and Betty Greiff (Pete) of Perham; and his parents, Wilfred Hartwig and Lenora Hartwig (Matz).
He also made contributions to his community as a dedicated Boy Scout leader, imparting valuable life skills and fostering a love for nature in the younger generation.
