She was predeceased by: her parents, Axel Strand and Hazel Strand (Johnson); her husband Sonny Alberts; her brother Donald Strand; her grandson Thomas Bergeron; and her great grandchild Tabitha Belmonte.

She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Yahtzee and Uno; her children, Susan Alberts of Ottertail, Alfred "Bud" Alberts (Jane) of Bellevue, WA and Brian Alberts (Lisa) of New York Mills; her grandchildren, Bobbi Teeple (Steve) of Dent, T. J, Bergeron of Moorhead, Denise Niehaus (Dave) of Perham, Katy Jacobs (Nathan) of Gallatin, TN and Daniel Alberts of Bellevue, WA; and her siblings, Nancy Snyder of Wilmington, IL and Duane Strand (Patricia) of Vergas. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
