It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Nickisch of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, who passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mildred Nickisch and Oscar Nickisch; his wife Lyn; his children, Lauren Nickisch (C. J. Anderson) of Pequot Lakes, L. J and Shelley Smischney; his grandchildren, Tegan Smischney (John Burke), Cherie Smischney (Zachary Sowman), Kaylee Nickisch and Corrie Clark (Jim); and his great grandchildren, Akaylia Sowman, Landen James Clark and James Orion Smischney Burke.
