It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Wilson of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, born in Brainerd, Minnesota, who passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Wilson and Joyce Wilson; his brother David Wilson; his father-in-law Alvin Malecha; his nephew Adam Youngkrantz; and his brother David Watt.
He is survived by: his wife Shari Malecha; his daughters, Amanda Akerson (Andy) of Pequot Lakes and Molly Dahlquist (Cory) of Sartell, MN; his grandchildren, Oliver, Alvin, Kinley and Eva; and his siblings, Rick Wilson, Dan Wilson of Pequot Lakes, Barb Wilson of San Diego, CA and Janet Mortenson of Pequot Lakes.
His family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center to support cancer research and treatment.
