He was predeceased by: his parents, John Giinthir and Kuni Giinthir (Danner); his wife Joann Stulen; and his siblings, John Giinther, Earl Giinthir (Jeanette) and Margaret Nash (Bob).
He is survived by: his children, Pat Johannes of Willmar, Connie Cecil (Zane) of Willmar, Linda Nelson (John) of Hector, Michael Giinthir (Carol) of Buffalo, Dale Giinthir (DeAnn) of Cold Spring and Amy Spellman (David) of Willmar; his sister Helen Koska of Willmar; and his sister-in-law Lavina Giinther. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
