He is survived by: his parents, Elroy Backstrom and Leone Backstrom (Anderson); his wife Jacqueline Backstrom (Ahrndt); his mother-in-law LaVonne Brosowske (Arlin); his siblings, Lynnette Zimmerman (Steve), Steve Backstrom (Barb) and Anita Boen (Kevin); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Jennen (Richard) and Richard Ahrndt (Susan). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
