She was predeceased by: her parents, Thorsten Leland and Reidun Leland (Olson); her son David Lindstrom; her siblings, Thorwald Leland (Ardis), Irene Tungseth (Peter), Raymond Leland, Audrey Goltz (Walter), Philip Leland and Donald Leland; her sister-in-law Viola Jensen; and her in-laws, Oscar and Lillian Lindstrom.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Lindstrom (Bob); her daughter Deborah Sjostrom (David); her grandchildren, Travis Sjostrom (Bridget O'Gorman) and Emma Sjostrom-Avise (Jonathan Avise); and her sisters-in-law, Elsa Persson and Grace Leland.
In memory of Mardell, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Faith Lutheran Church endowment fund, Pelican Valley Senior Living, or Knute Nelson Hospice.
