He is survived by: his wife Lois; his parents, Thomas Brakefield (Barbara Brakefield) and Barbara Brakefield; his sister Heidi Brakefield; his stepchildren, Christopher Erickson, Zackary Erickson (Sara) and Nicole Burrows (Kelsen); and his sister-in-law Lidia Atkinson (Robert). He is also survived by ten step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
