He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hemmesch and Elizabeth Hemmesch (Kollmann); and his wife Sandy. He is survived by: his children, Steve (Robin) of Minnetonka, Roger (Lisa) of Paynesville, Rita Kopp (Kent) of Alexandria, Lois Gertken (Rod) of Richmond, Linda Hoeft (Scott) of Paynesville and Scot (Stephanie) of Delano; his siblings, Jeanette Lieser (Bob), Ron Hemmesch, Henrietta Hemmesch and Jarett Hemmesch (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Joan Patton (Al), Chuck Schoenberg (Sharon), Tom Schoenberg (Patty), Dick Schoenberg (Marilyn), Bill Schoenberg (Jan), Mary Budner (Pete), Mona Ritter (Doug) and Nick Schoenberg. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
