He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Block and Olga Block (Runge); his daughter Kari; his grandson Jordan; his siblings, Herbert, Edward (Veronica), Viola Stenerson (Stanley) and Sophia Rien (Roger); and his nephew Richard Rien.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Kevin and Karen; his grandson Justin; and his brother Emil, Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
