He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Margaret Bryant and Frank Nelson Gardner; his wife Mary Jane "Jane" Drake; his brothers, Reverend Bill of Newton, Iowa and Richard (Kathy) of Cambridge, MN.; and also, Dr. Bob Gardner (Phyllis) of Paynesville, Linda Dodd (Tom) of Davenport, Iowa, Kathryn Faver (Bill) of Bemidji, Minnesota, Anne Fonda (Rick) of York, Pennsylvania. and Margaret Joan Gardner. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
