He was predeceased by: his wife Viola Bertram; and his siblings, Mary Lieser, Loretta Lieser, Aurelia Sunderman, Leo Bertram, Nick Bertram and Al Bertram.
He is survived by: his children, Judi Jansen (Larry) of Sauk Centre, Joe L. Bertram, Sr. (Sue) of Spring Hill and Jeff Bertram (Marlene) of Paynesville; and his sisters, Ann Hinnenkamp of Sauk Centre and Catherine Lieser of Plymouth. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
