He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolf Knapp and Luise Knapp (Muler); and his former wife Harriet Swenson. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Reinheimer; his children, Christel Knapp of Columbus, Nebraska and Tom Knapp (Robin Kellogg) of Schuyler, Nebraska; his siblings, Alfred, Walter, Hildegard Thompson of Parkers Prairie, Anita of Weinheim, Germany, Christel of Weinheim, Germany, Marianne of Weinheim, Germany and Alfreda of Weinheim, Germany; and his grandsons, Tanner and Jeremy. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
