He was predeceased by: his parents, Rueben Malmgren and Viola Malmgren of Parkers Prairie; his sisters, Patty and Julie; his grandparents, Earl, Helen Penrose, Alfred and Eugenia Malmgren; his parents-in-law, Lawrence and June Wangerin; his nephew Matthew Ranstedt; his great-nephew Caleb Rokes; his nephew-in-law Bob Hocking; and his brothers-in-law, James Reineke, Milo Wark and Randy Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Wangerin; his sons, Sjon (Lynette) and Steven (Amanda); and his grandchildren, Zander, Nevaeh, Brooklyn, Carter and Starr.
