He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nelson and Mary Nelson (DeRung); his siblings, Jan Tepley and Donna Sander; his brothers-in-law, Shorty Kingston, Frank Arnold, Neil Ehlers and Robert Sander; his nephew Daniel Kingston; and his parents-in-law, Wayne and Hertha Bowman.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Ellen Bowman; his daughters, Lisa Kruger (Rick) of Brainerd, Jennifer Higgs (Russell) of Parkers Prairie and LeAnn Aldrich (Bob) of Parkers Prairie; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Jared, Megan, Casey, Nicholas and Sabrina; his sister Sharon Ehlers of Elbow Lake; and his pet Sue.
