She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Hink and Paula Hink (Proehl); her husband Myles Nelson; her sons, Terry Nelson and David Nelson; her daughter-in-law Martha Nelson; her grandson Christopher Beyer; and her brothers, Orville and Marvin Hink.
She is survived by: her friends, Carold and Lucille Hilgren; her grandson Terry Walters; her children, Bob Nelson (Jan) of Bismarck and Rosemary Johnson (Dean) of Cold Spring; her daughters-in-law, MaVonne and Michelle; and her grandsons, Zachary Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Ethan Nelson, Jesse Nelson, Kyle Johnson, Brian Simpson, Adam Hendrickson, Andy LeCleir and James Orewiler. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
