He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert and Freida (Holderbecker); his former wife Sandy Welch; his son Scott Anderson; his grandson Kevin Johnson; and his siblings, Walter, Wallace, Lawrence Welch and Lavaun Berry.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Welch (Morris) of Parkers Prairie; his child Zoeta Klimek (Mike) of Parkers Prairie; and his grandchildren, Kateri Johanson (Dillon) of Winnebago, Jill Welch of Minneapolis, Dawn Welch of Minneapolis, Amy Welch of Minneapolis, Todd Welch (Micki) of Mankato, Dana Welch of Minneapolis and Doug Anderson (Deann) of Minneapolis. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
