With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jim J. Drown of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine Drown and Lillian Drown (Angus); his former wife Dee; and his brothers, Dan and Marion.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith Drown; his children, Steven Smith (Jenny) of Johnston, Mike Smith (Norie) of Minneapolis, Phillip Smith of McGregor, Mark Smith (Barb) of Albuquerque, Shelly Compton (Mike) of Austin and Lisa Sicora (Rick) of Gold Beach, Oregon; his siblings, Dick Drown (Lois) of Baxter, Roger Drown (Val) of Montrose, Colorado, Jean Morley (Frank) of Raymore and Lorraine Malone (Paul) of Glendive, Montana; and his sister-in-law LuAnn Drown of Delta, Colorado. He is also survived by grandchildren; 16 bonus great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Christian Church (544 W Main St, Parkers Prairie, MN 56361).
