He was predeceased by: his mother Rose Pomeranz (Kemnitz); his wife Florence Chermak; his brothers, Duwaine and Roy Lee; and his grandson-in-law Jim Klimek.
He is survived by: his children, Gayle Suchy (Paul) of Evansville, Linda Thoennes (John) of Parkers Prairie, Deborah Koep (Allen) of Ramsey and Bryan Pomeranz of Fargo; his grandchildren, Jill Klimek (Rick Hart), James Suchy (Kim), Joel Suchy (Mary), Janell Kraemer (Luke), Jeremy Thoennes (Kim), Jolene Otto (Chris), Jonathan Thoennes (Julie), Kari Myhre (James), Tanner Pomeranz and Ava Pomeranz; his sisters, Norma Olson and Patricia Reents (Roger); and his grandsons, Kyle Koep and Kraig Koep. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
