He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Johnson and Jennie Johnson (Bjerkhagen); and his siblings, Palmer, Vernon, Gust, Carl, Clarence, Lester, John, Peter Johnson, Mabel Gander, Louise Malmberg, Jennie Rupkalvis and Pearl Schones.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Johnson of Parkers Prairie; his children, Paul Johnson of Miltona and Peggy Kloehn (Doyle) of Nelson; his grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Tina, Mitchell Kloehn and Mandy Leesch; and his great grandchildren, Radja Williams, Tyra Johnson, Ayanna Jackson, Christopher Washington, Jr. and Andrew Leesch.
