He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Peterson and Minnie Peterson (Olson); his wife Irene Polipnick; his siblings, Clarice, Merlin and Orville; and his half-brother Arthur Olson.
He is survived by: his son Bruce Peterson (Mary Springer) of Litchfield; his daughter-in-law Joni Zunker of Parkers Prairie; his granddaughters, Sarah Peterson of Alexandria and Kristin Peterson (Gary) of Chanhassen; his great grandchildren, Brevin, Jacey, Cali, Gracey and Kaitlyn; his sister-in-law Lois Peterson of Alexandria; and his close friend Evelyn Jahnke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
