He is survived by: his children, Ken Schmitz (Sue), Dan Schmitz and Diane Ford (Dave); his grandchildren, Josh Schmitz (Jen), Kristie Schmitz, Benjamin Ford (Caitlin) and Andrew Ford; his great grandchildren, Owen, Colton Schmitz and Violet Strotbeck; and his sisters-in-law, Louise Czeczok (Roy), Arlene Biessener (Jerome), Janice Schmitz (Gerald) and Beverly Schmitz (Fred).
