He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Erhard Schmidt and Helena Schmidt (Behne); his wife Barbara (Krenke); his sons, Brad Schmidt (Diana) of Owatonna, Craig Schmidt (Kelly) of Owatonna and Chad Schmidt (Sandi) of Milledgeville, IL; his grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Rilee, Alexandra and Chloe Schmidt; his sister Judy Johnson (Roger); his siblings-in-law, Ardella, Darlene Schmidt, William (Becky) and Edward Krenke (Norma); and his brothers, Lowell, Darrel and Nordean Schmidt.
