He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Deml and Helen Deml (Renchin); his wife Connie Deml; his son Roger Deml, Jr.; his great grandchild Phil Schroeder; and his brothers, Thomas Deml, Bernard Deml and Theodore Deml.
He is survived by: his former wife Marlys Kriesel August; and his children, Brian, Denise, Schroeder of Owatonna, Coleen, Thompson of Webster, WI, Scott, Lori, Keith and Klemmensen of Blooming Prairie. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
